Building a unified data hub for a multi-region North American logistics company
The Challenge
The company had data coming in from driver tablets, manufacturer portals, client systems, dispatchers, and a maintenance team — none of it talking to the rest. Route problems were going unnoticed. Delays had no clear cause. Decisions were made on instinct because pulling together an accurate picture of what was happening across regions took too long to be useful.
Our Approach
The build started with a centralised data hub designed to be the single operational record across the whole business. The ingestion layer handled both real-time feeds from drivers in the field and batch uploads from manufacturers and clients, so nothing fell through the gaps.
Data moved through a processing stage for normalisation and quality checks before landing in structured storage. Separating raw, cleaned, and analytics-ready zones meant teams could always trace where a number came from.
Dashboards were built for each audience from the same underlying data — dispatchers needed live route performance, operations managers needed shift and delay summaries, leadership needed the weekly picture.
